にわか屋台であったが、平成10年にしゃぎり屋台を新造した。
これまでのしゃぎり屋台には見られない技法や色漆の使い方が用いられ、華やかさを強調した意匠が随所にみられる。
一層囃子台の擬宝珠柱は八角直立、面をとって金箔押し、前と横の蹴込板は波の彫刻に白と青の色漆塗りとしている。正面階は三段、黒漆塗りとし、登り高欄の下段擬宝珠は海老曲り。架木は丸、平桁は角で共に朱漆塗り。柱は黒漆に金箔押しの蛟（みずち）。蛟は空想上の生き物で、火伏の意味を持つ。前庇は蓑亀と波の彫刻に金箔押し。持送りは唐草の彫りに金箔押しとする。前と後ろの腰屋根は唐破風とし、丸彫りの金竜をつける。

二層飾り台の擬宝珠は海老曲りとしている。化粧架木は波の彫刻に金箔押しとする。
乗せ物台は渦巻く波の彫刻に金箔押し。
見送りは逆巻く波と岩頭に立つ鳥天狗の彫刻を色漆で仕上げている。
日覆いは切妻で飾り、破風は雲に舞鶴の彫刻に金箔押しとしている。

Originally a niwaka-yatai (a simplified festival float), this float was newly constructed as a shagiri-yatai (festival music float) in 1998 (Heisei 10). It incorporates techniques and the use of colored lacquer not seen in earlier shagiri-yatai, resulting in a design that emphasizes brilliance and decorative richness.

On the first level, the giboshi finials are supported by straight octagonal pillars with beveled edges, finished with gold leaf. The front and side kickboards are carved with wave motifs and coated in white and blue lacquer. The front staircase has three steps and is finished in black lacquer, while the lower giboshi of the ascending railings feature a distinctive shrimp-like curve. The crossbeams are round and the main beams are square, both finished in vermilion lacquer.

The pillars are coated in black lacquer and decorated with gold-leaf images of mizuchi (a mythical water dragon), believed to protect against fire. The front canopy features carvings of a minogame (long-tailed turtle) and waves, finished with gold leaf. The supporting brackets are adorned with arabesque carvings in gold leaf. The lower roofs at the front and rear are designed in karahafu (curved gable) style and are decorated with fully carved golden dragons.

On the second level, the decorative stage features giboshi finials supported by shrimp-like curved pillars. The ornamental crossbeams are carved with wave motifs and finished with gold leaf.

The platform for the mounted figure is adorned with swirling wave carvings in gold leaf. The rear display (miokuri) features crashing waves and a bird-like Tengu standing atop a rock, finished with colored lacquer.

The roof covering is gabled and richly ornamented, with bargeboards decorated with gold-leaf carvings of cranes dancing among clouds.

「天狗面」羽黒神社の本殿に掲げられた黒白一対のうちの白面を模したもの。

天狗は山の精霊が姿を変えたものといわれており、山岳修行者の崇拝の対象となる。天狗の姿が山伏に重なるゆえんである。
天狗はのちの世になると、さまざまな験力を使うが、もとは勧善懲悪の神であった。

Tengu Mask

This mask is modeled after the white face of a pair of black-and-white Tengu masks displayed in the main hall of Haguro Shrine.

Tengu are said to be mountain spirits that have taken on human-like forms, and they have long been objects of reverence for ascetic mountain practitioners (yamabushi). This is why their appearance is often associated with that of yamabushi.

In later periods, Tengu came to be depicted as beings possessing various supernatural powers. Originally, however, they were regarded as deities who upheld justice, rewarding good and punishing evil.

大紋はまる印に「は」で、町名に由来する。地模様は鱗の総柄で、鱗形印の火消消防組に属していたことに由来する。衿字に「鱗形印」を入れ「鱗組」と染めた法被もある。全19町の中で唯一裾柄のない法被である。

The main crest features the character “Ha” (は) enclosed within a circle, derived from the name of the district.

The base pattern consists of an all-over scale motif, reflecting the district’s historical affiliation with a firefighting group known as the “Uroko-gata” (scale-pattern unit).

Some happi coats bear the inscription “Uroko-gata” on the collar and are referred to as the “Uroko-gumi.”

Among the 19 districts, this is the only happi design that does not include a hem pattern.
